"Temptation of Michael" is a (planned) Fan Game centered all around romancing our favorite little trio of TV World Freaks!While we are in the early planning stages, we are aiming to create routes to romance each Mike individually, as well as the trio as a whole.This is a passion project run by a select few community members. Hi, I'm Tene! I like to draw, make sprites, write... and spend an absurd amount of time thinking about the Mikes. They've taken over my life at this point. They can't be stopped.What do you like about the Mike Trio?: Where do I even begin LMAO. The Mikes have such a compelling dynamic to me, I love every moment we've gotten of them interacting with each other!! Like, the moment you see them all together for the first time you kinda just INSTANTLY understand what they're all about, and I think that's awesome. And even though they're joke characters there's still so much that you can analyze... My favorite thing to do these past few months has definitely been picking apart individual lines of dialogue and overanalyzing them, and I do that a LOT!!!! Because it's FUN!!!! Also don't even get me started on Battenna man, we'll be here for hours. I need them to get lippy with each other already.One more thing, the Mikes were what compelled me to even become a creative on the internet in the first place, so getting to work on a project like this that involves them still feels surreal. Hello, I'm Soda! The Genderless Beverage and guy who witnessed the fangame they both playtested and observed development of cause a clusterfuck of Miketwt panic and insanity. Flash forward a week and I see the pitch for this on Twitter and think "what the hell, sure."
I'm here to do all the Admin Work and... wait. Does being on this project mean I'm officially on Miketwt now? Shit.What do you like about the Mike Trio?: I think it's funny that Toby Fox gave us a group of three guys (said Gender Neutrally) with three completely different flavors of Autism. Also Battat's blatent homosexual pining for his boss is hilarious.
Also there's the thing about Battat's very clear struggle with identity and selfhood (Pluey is kinda the same but to a lesser extent) and how a part of why he's choosing to be Mike is because it's a coping mechanism but if I start genuinely angstposting about the Green Die I think they're going to put me down like Old Yeller.Past Experience: My HeartShapedObject Sim (Project Coordinator) and far too many Deltarune Zines to count. Their goofiness and them basically being an ode towards the fandom theories back in the day are such a nice touch. But overall even with comparative little writing other characters have, they already have such great characteristics. Not to mention how great the small fandom (? it has grown a lot by now but by comparative means to the other parts of the dr fandom, it is Small)for them have produced so much great works. So influential, us mike fans, that I honestly believe it has even affected how they are IN the actual game. Q: What inspired this game?A: A few of us have been in Fangames before, but Madocactus' Fangame "Mike-A-Like" was the catalyst for us, alongside other fangames!Q: What engine will you be using?
A: The game will be run on Renpy!Q: Do you have a planned schedule?
A: This is mostly a passion project run by a small group of idiots who met on Twitter dot com, but when we get deeper into the project, we'll hopefully be able to give an estimate!Q: What routes will be included?
A: We currently have routes planned between the player and each Mike, as well as a Polymikes + player ending. We may also be doing an ending where you set Polymikes up rather than dating them yourself.
There will also probably be a few Miketenna references, specifically Battenna because Battat's a freak.
